Tempestt Henderson has a clean addiction. She can’t get enough of soap, soap bubbles, and laundry detergent.
I guess of all addictions that a person could have this one is a clean one. The problem is that It is just as bad for you as any other addiction. It offers toxicity that could kill Tempestt.
The 19 year old states that she remembers the first time she tasted washing power. She dipped her fingers into the powder and dabbed it onto her tongue. It tasted so sweet and salty that she was hooked.
Tempestt is a nursing student and she realizes how dangerous her addiction to soaps and detergents is, but that doesn’t stop her. It is all like candy to her. After 6 months of eating soap the unhappy Tempestt sought medical advice. She found out she has PICA, which is an appetite for substances that are non nutritive. Other suffers with PICA compulsively eat metal, coins, chalk, batteries, and even toothbrushes.
Her mom made her come home and Tempestt is on a long road to recovery and she is ready to do so one step at a time.
