Nadine Chandrawinata was born May 8, 1984 in Hannover, Germany. Her family moved to Jakarta when she was 3. She is pursuing her studies at the London School of Public Relations in Jakarta. She has two brother, twins Marcel and Mischa, who are also models and actors. Nadine Chandrawinata is the second Miss Indonesia to participate in the Miss Universe pageant (preceded by Artika Sari Devi).
